The Heart Behind Prosperity Employment Outreach
Prosperity Employment Outreach was founded to address a critical need in West Texas: breaking down the real, personal barriers that keep individuals from finding and keeping stable employment. The nonprofit was built on nearly two decades of experience in workforce development, recruiting, and employment outreach, and was shaped by professionals who have spent their careers walking alongside job seekers from all backgrounds.
Many of the organization’s founding board members were directly involved in this journey, having worked in employment media, corporate recruiting, and career event planning across the country. Together, they witnessed how poverty, lack of professional support, criminal histories, and limited access to resources can hold back even the most hardworking individuals. Prosperity Employment Outreach was born from a shared desire to meet people where they are—regardless of their story—
and to help them move forward with dignity and purpose.
The mission is simple but powerful: provide the tools, mentoring, and encouragement individuals need to seek, secure, and sustain employment. From one-on-one mentorship and resume development to digital skills training and a professional women’s clothing closet, Prosperity offers practical, compassionate support to job seekers at every stage. The Mobile Career and Clothing Trailer extends this reach even further, taking career services directly into
neighborhoods where they are needed most.
Prosperity serves people from all walks of life—those reentering the workforce, working but underpaid, or simply unsure of where to begin. Whether facing a gap in employment, struggling with confidence, or carrying the weight of past mistakes, each client is met with respect, guidance, and real resources to help
them take their next step.
Guided by leaders whose commitment to serving others is rooted in personal faith and a strong belief in second chances, Prosperity Employment Outreach continues to grow through the support of its board, volunteers, partners, and the broader West Texas community. Together, they are dedicated to creating long-term solutions that foster hope, stability, and opportunity for individuals and families for generations to come.
