Overcoming Employment Barriers. We work TOGETHER to help you find work or opportunities.
Our program targets unemployed, underemployed and struggling residents of Midland/Odessa to break the cycle of poverty and reshape their futures, as well as those of their families. Through job advocacy, mentoring, and support services, we help participants overcome barriers to success, equipping them to seek, secure, and sustain employment. By partnering with companies across West Texas, we aim to assist local job seekers with opportunities that lead to lasting empowerment.
While a good job may not resolve every challenge within our community, it serves as a lasting remedy for numerous issues, including poverty, depression, homelessness, decreasing abuse and violence reports, reducing the over use of community resources and it offers a pathway to stability and self empowerment for GENERATIONS to come.
We offer:
Success Suits Her- Empowered by Prosperity Employment Outreach
Success Suits Her is a nonprofit program under Prosperity Employment Outreach that provides professional attire to women reentering the workforce, currently employed but needing assistance, seeking better opportunities or community involvement (volunteering etc.) that can lead to employment networking. By equipping women with the proper attire, Success Suits Her empowers them to achieve professional success and long-term self-sufficiency. Lack of professional attire IS a employment barrier!

As a long-time recruiter and business owner, I've seen firsthand the struggles many in our community face when it comes to finding stable employment. The weight of poverty is not just financial—it's deeply personal. It’s the embarrassment of showing up to an interview in worn-out, dated clothing, the frustration of not having a polished resume with keywords that can stand out on high-tech recruiting sites, and the feeling of hopelessness when opportunities seem out of reach. But the barriers go even deeper than that. Individuals also suffer from a lack of exposure to professional environments which can make interviews intimidating and lead to missed opportunities, as well as how to talk about past convictions, substance abuse, lack of transportation or other red flags seen by employers. These are real, tangible obstacles that keep hardworking people from reaching their full potential.
That's why Prosperity Employment Outreach is expanding its impact with a new Mobile Career and Clothing Trailer, alongside enhancements to our current employment program and emergency clothes closet.
The Mobile Career and Clothing Trailer is a tangible solution, allowing us to reach those who may otherwise be left behind and working with future generations. This initiative isn’t just about jobs; it’s about empowerment—about giving people the tools they need to build a better future for themselves and their families.
