Prosperity Employment Outreach supports unemployed, underemployed, and struggling residents of Midland and Odessa by providing the tools, mentoring, and support needed to pursue stable employment.
Our focus is on equipping individuals to overcome obstacles through job readiness, advocacy, and connections.
Rather than operating as a staffing agency, we offer a wide range of employment resources, including professionally written resumes optimized with keywords for today’s hiring technology, mentorship from second-chance advocates and recruiters, and support in building connections with local employers. Participants also benefit from a job-to-candidate digital match feature, access to our professional women’s clothing closet, and two robust digital skills training programs designed to enhance workplace readiness.
A stable job may not solve every challenge, but it can reduce poverty, housing instability, depression, and strain on community resources—offering a pathway to long-term stability for generations to come.
We offer:
Success Suits Her is a program of Prosperity Employment Outreach that provides professional clothing, shoes, and accessories to women reentering the workforce, seeking better opportunities, or engaging in community roles that support employment networking.

The closet is located at 7110 Elkins Road in Midland (inside the 3:11 Ministries building). Appointments are required, including for emergencies—available select Tuesdays.

In West Texas, poverty and underemployment remain deeply rooted challenges. Many residents face more than just financial hardship—they face the emotional toll of showing up to job interviews in worn or outdated clothing, submitting resumes that don’t pass modern screening systems, and navigating the hopelessness that can come when opportunities feel out of reach.
The barriers go far beyond lack of experience or education.
Many individuals have never been exposed to professional environments, making interviews intimidating and unfamiliar. Others carry the weight of past convictions, struggles with substance use, unreliable transportation, or other red flags that employers often hesitate to overlook. These are real and lasting obstacles that keep hardworking people from achieving their potential.
Across Midland and Odessa, thousands live paycheck to paycheck or fall below the poverty line, despite working full-time. According to recent data, over 11% of Midland residents and more than 15% of Odessa residents live in poverty. Many of them are working—yet still cannot afford the basics of rent, childcare, or reliable transportation.
To meet this growing need, Prosperity Employment Outreach is expanding its services through a Mobile Career and Clothing Trailer and enhancements to its employment support programs and emergency clothing closet. This mobile unit is a hands-on solution that brings job readiness tools, mentoring, resume assistance, and professional attire directly to individuals in need—reaching those who may otherwise be left behind.
This initiative is about more than finding jobs. It's about restoring dignity, building confidence, and creating pathways to long-term stability for individuals and their families.
We are actively seeking donations and support from the West Texas community and local businesses to make this vision a reality. With your help, we can break cycles of poverty and open doors for generations to come.
